SALARY - We offer a generous salary that will be dependent on your location and CIPD qualification. Salary progression will be on an annual basis and is performance related.
TRAINING - We are committed to staff development and offer an extensive range of training and development opportunities. In addition, there are networking forums across the national team and mentoring schemes to support you in the role.
PENSION - The Civil Service offers a choice of final salary and Stakeholder pension, giving you the flexibility to choose the one that suits you best.
ANNUAL LEAVE - You can look forward to an annual leave allowance of between 25 and 30 days, dependent upon your grade and length of service. On top of this you'll also receive public and privilege holidays. Leave for part-time and job share posts will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. We also offer flexible working hours.
WORK LIFE BALANCE - We're keen to encourage alternative working arrangements. Work life balance provides greater opportunities for staff to work more flexibly wherever managers can accommodate requests to do so. Most prisons have gym facilities which staff can access.
SEASON TICKET ADVANCE - After two months with us you'll be eligible to apply for a season ticket advance to purchase a quarterly, or longer period season ticket for travel between home and office.
CHILDCARE VOUCHERS - This scheme enables staff to take part of their salary in the form of Childcare Vouchers. This is known as a Salary Sacrifice. The vouchers can then be used to help meet the costs of any form of registered or approved childcare for children aged 0 -16. The vouchers are exempt from tax and National Insurance contributions.
